LyraRide's safety features are built into the rider and driver apps, and they work on every trip.
Before the ride
Know who is coming
Verified drivers
Drivers upload their driving licence, vehicle RC, insurance certificate, profile photo and ID proof. Our team checks them before a driver can go online.
Verified vehicles
Every vehicle a driver adds is checked by our team before it can be used for rides.
Driver details in the app
Once a driver accepts, you see their name, photo, vehicle and number plate, so you can check it is the right car.
During the ride
Stay in control
Ride PIN
Your app shows a PIN. Give it to the driver at pickup: the trip cannot start without it.
Live tracking
Follow the trip on the map from pickup to drop.
Share your trip
Send a live-tracking link to family or friends. Stop sharing at any time.
SOS
Raise an SOS and our safety team is alerted with your live location. If you have added emergency contacts, they get a text with a live-tracking link.
Emergency contacts
Add trusted contacts in the Safety Center and choose who is notified when you raise an SOS.
In-app chat
Message your driver in the app about the pickup or the trip.
After the ride
Tell us how it went
Rate every trip
Rate your driver and tell us what went well or what did not, such as rash driving or a long route.
Block a driver
Block a driver from your trip receipt so you are not matched with them again.
Support tickets
Report a safety concern, a lost item or anything else from the app, and our team follows up.
In an emergency, call 112 first. SOS in the app depends on mobile network coverage, SMS delivery and your phone's location, none of which we control, so it can be delayed. It is not a replacement for emergency services.
