What is LyraRide?
LyraRide is a ride-booking app. You book a moto, auto, car or parcel delivery, and pay the full fare directly to the driver in cash or by UPI. LyraRide takes 0% commission.
What does 0% commission mean?
It means LyraRide does not take a share of the fare. The rider pays the driver, and the driver or cab owner keeps 100% of it.
How do I pay?
At the end of the ride, pay your driver in cash or by UPI to the driver's own UPI ID. LyraRide does not collect, hold or process ride payments.
Do I see the fare before I book?
Yes. The app shows an estimated fare for each ride option before you confirm. If a trip ends early, the fare is worked out for the distance actually driven.
Where is LyraRide available?
LyraRide is available in select cities. Open the app and set your pickup point: if we do not operate there yet, the app tells you.
Which ride options are there?
Moto, Auto, Economy, Comfort and XL, plus Parcel for sending packages. The options you see depend on your city.
Can I book a ride for later?
Yes. Choose Schedule when you book, pick a day and time, and the ride appears under Upcoming rides in your account.
How do I sign in?
With your mobile number. We send a one-time code by SMS, and there is no password to remember.
What safety features are there?
Verified drivers and vehicles, a ride PIN to start every trip, live tracking, trip sharing, in-app chat and an SOS button that alerts our safety team and your emergency contacts.
Do drivers keep tips?
Yes. Tips are optional, and drivers keep 100% of them.
How do I become a driver?
Download the LyraRide Driver app, sign in with your phone number, upload your driving licence, vehicle RC, insurance certificate, profile photo and ID proof, and add your vehicle. Our team checks them before you can go online.
Does LyraRide pay drivers?
No payout is needed. Riders pay drivers directly at the end of each ride, in cash or by UPI, so the money reaches the driver straight away.
What is LyraRide Carpool?
LyraRide Carpool is a separate app for intercity seat sharing. Travellers going the same way share a car and the cost of the trip per kilometre. See carpool.lyraride.com.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Account and choose Delete account. Without the app, see our Delete your account page.
